Dialogue on "Gay Rights"

Question from Facebook friend: I think its sad that someone like yourself who has such great faith doesnt believe that everyone has equal rights. Arent we suppose to do unto others as they do unto us? How do you think God feels about you excluding people just because they are gay?

My response: God loves homosexuals, but hates the sin of homosexuality. God made 2 people they were male and female, and His plan from the beginning of time was one man and one woman for life. Homosexuality rebels against God's plan. Matthew 19:4 "He answered, “Have you not read that he who created them from the beginning made them male and female," and Mark 10:6 "But from the beginning of creation, ‘God made them male and female." If our whole society adopted homosexuality we would all die, it goes against nature. Two members of the same gender cannot procreate.

Romans Chapter 1:26-32 says: [26] For this reason God gave them up to dishonorable passions. For their women exchanged natural relations for those that are contrary to nature; [27] and the men likewise gave up natural relations with women and were consumed with passion for one another, men committing shameless acts with men and receiving in themselves the due penalty for their error.
[28] And since they did not see fit to acknowledge God, God gave them up to a debased mind to do what ought not to be done. [29] They were filled with all manner of unrighteousness, evil, covetousness, malice. They are full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, maliciousness. They are gossips, [30] slanderers, haters of God, insolent, haughty, boastful, inventors of evil, disobedient to parents, [31] foolish, faithless, heartless, ruthless. [32] Though they know God's decree that those who practice such things deserve to die, they not only do them but give approval to those who practice them.

We see in verse 32, those who approve of homosexuality are worthy of death, as are the ones who practice it. Thankfully God in His mercy gives them a chance to repent from their sinful lifestyle choice.

We also see also 1 Corinthians 6:9: "Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men who practice homosexuality"

Not only does God hate homosexuality, no unrepentant homosexual is a Christian. Homosexuality is a sin against the very morality that God has established in our world.

Response: I know why he created but you said gays shouldnt have rights. To me thats wrong. God loves everyone equally

My response: They should not have the right to get married to a same sex partner if that is what you are saying, because marriage is between a man and a woman. Homosexuals have the right to marry, it just has to be someone of the other gender. They should have the same rights as a non-homosexual, we have the right to marry someone of the opposite gender and have a natural family. They have the same right, but their lifestyle inhibits that from happening because they choose a relationship that cannot produce offspring. And adoption is a privilege not a right, so I won't discuss that.
